I was looking for another way to prepare ground turkey and found this lettuce wraps recipe on the Beach Body Blog. I made some alterations to the recipe since I don’t like water chestnuts or green onions. This lettuce wraps recipe made some delicious and easy to make hand-held dinner!
Lettuce Wraps Recipe
Lean ground turkey mixed with chopped fresh veggies served in a lettuce leaf makes a healthy alternative to traditional wraps.

Ingredients
- 1 tsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
- 1/2 red onion chopped
- 1/2 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 clove garlic chopped or pressed
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce reduced sodium
- 1 Tbsp seasoned rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp cilantro chopped
- 6 leaves romaine lettuce, bibb lettuce, or red leaf lettuce
Servings: people (2 wraps each)
Instructions
- Heat oil over medium-high heat in a medium saucepan.
- Add turkey, onion, and bell pepper. Cook 4-6 minutes, or until turkey is cooked through and onion is translucent.
- Add garlic, soy sauce, and vinegar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes or until most of the liquid is evaporated.
- Add cilantro and mix well. Remove from heat.
- Evenly spoon mixture into lettuce leaves, and wrap the leaves around the mixture.
