The great thing about these sweet potato fries is you can season with a variety of spices making the sweet potato fries taste different each time. My husband really loves the sweet potato fries seasoned with garlic powder. My favorite spices are sea salt and cayenne pepper!
Sweet Potato Fries Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp olive oil extra virgin
- 1 tsp sea salt to taste
- 1 tsp cayenne or curry to taste
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder to taste

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Wash and peel the sweet potato. Cut off the ends. With a VERY sharp knife, cut the sweet potato into thin slices about 1/4 inch wide.
- Place sweet potato slices in a large bowl or ziplock bag and toss with cornstarch.
- Pour sweet potato slices into a strainer to get rid of any extra cornstarch.
- Place sweet potatoes back into cleaned bowl and add the olive oil and seasonings of choice.
- Place the sweet potato slices on the baking sheet. Try not to crowd them or else they won't bake well.
- Bake the sweet potato fries for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and flip them over. Place the sweet potato fries back in oven and bake for 10 additional minutes.
